NewLine Responsible Gaming Policy

How NewLine helps Users keep gambling enjoyable and safe — tools, support resources and our commitment to harm prevention.

Need help right now? If you feel that gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, talk to NewLine support 24/7 inside the app, write to support@newline.bet, or contact a recognised support service such as GamCare, Gambling Therapy or Gamblers Anonymous — full details and links are available in Section 6 of this policy.

1. Introduction

Gambling at NewLine is intended as a form of paid entertainment. For most adults it stays exactly that — a leisure activity within personal limits, alongside other things they enjoy. For a smaller group of people it can become harmful: spending more time or money than intended, chasing losses, or letting it affect work, relationships and wellbeing.

This Responsible Gaming Policy describes how NewLine supports Users in keeping gambling under control, the tools available inside the platform, the recognised external support services we direct people to, and the steps we take to prevent underage access. It complements the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy and applies to every NewLine surface — the website, the Android and iOS mobile apps, and the Windows desktop application.

2. Purpose of This Policy

The Operator's commitments under this policy are to:

  • Provide a fair and transparent gaming environment for adult Users.
  • Make practical tools available so that any User can set limits and pause or stop playing at any time.
  • Identify and respond to early signs of problem gambling through monitoring and proactive support.
  • Prevent underage individuals from registering or playing on the platform.
  • Direct Users who need help to recognised, independent support organisations.
  • Train customer support and compliance staff to handle responsible-gaming concerns with care and confidentiality.

3. Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling does not look the same for everyone, and it does not always start with large losses. Some patterns are widely recognised as warning signs and are worth checking against your own behaviour from time to time:

  • Spending more time or money on gambling than you originally planned.
  • Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes or session length to try to "win back" what you've lost.
  • Borrowing money to gamble, or feeling that you need to gamble to deal with money worries.
  • Hiding the extent of your gambling from family, friends or partners.
  • Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when you can't gamble.
  • Letting gambling interfere with work, study, sleep, meals, family time or other commitments.
  • Using gambling to escape from stress, low mood, loneliness or other difficult feelings.
  • Trying to cut down or stop and finding that you can't.

Recognising any of these patterns in yourself does not automatically mean you have a gambling disorder, but it is a good reason to pause, consider using the tools in Section 4, and — if appropriate — speak with one of the support services in Section 6. If you are concerned about someone else's gambling, the same support services offer guidance for friends and family members, not just for the person who plays.

4. Responsible Gaming Tools

Several tools are built into the NewLine platform to help Users keep gambling within personal limits. They are accessible from your account settings under the Responsible Gaming section after you log in.

ToolWhat It DoesHow to Activate
Deposit limits Cap the total you can deposit per day, per week or per month. You cannot deposit beyond the cap until the period resets. Set inside Account → Responsible Gaming. Tightening a limit takes effect immediately; loosening it has a cooling-off delay.
Cooling-off period A short pause during which you cannot deposit or place bets, while the Account remains otherwise open. Request through Account → Responsible Gaming or by contacting support.
Self-exclusion A formal commitment to stop using the Account for a defined period. The Account is locked, login is blocked and re-registration with the same details is refused. Activate from Account → Responsible Gaming. Minimum period: 6 months. Once activated, self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the minimum period expires.
Account closure Permanent closure of the Account, with the remaining balance refunded to the original deposit method. Request through Account settings or by writing to support@newline.bet.
Bonus opt-out Stop receiving bonus offers and marketing messages while keeping the Account active. Adjust in your account communication preferences and disable push notifications.

Limits are set in your account currency (INR, USD, EUR or any of the other supported currencies). Tightening a limit — for example, lowering your daily deposit cap — takes effect immediately. Loosening or removing a limit involves a cooling-off delay before the change takes effect, so that decisions made in the heat of the moment do not undo earlier protections.

5. Underage Prevention

NewLine is strictly for adults. The minimum age to register and play is 18 years old, or higher where local law requires. The Operator takes this requirement seriously and applies the following measures:

  • Age confirmation as part of the registration form, where the User explicitly confirms they are 18 or older.
  • KYC verification at first withdrawal and at other defined trigger points (see the Terms & Conditions for full details).
  • Monitoring of registration patterns, payment methods and behavioural signals for indications of underage use.
  • Immediate closure of any Account found to belong to an underage user, with all bets voided and balances refunded to source.

If you are an adult and a minor lives in your household, you can reduce the risk of access to gambling content by keeping your devices locked, not saving NewLine credentials, and using parental control features and content filters available in your operating system. Several free tools — such as Net Nanny, Qustodio and built-in iOS/Android Family Sharing controls — can block gambling sites and apps at the device level.

If you suspect that an underage individual has accessed NewLine through your Account or another route, please contact support@newline.bet immediately so the Operator can investigate and close any affected Account.

6. Professional Support and Assistance

If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, free and confidential help is available from independent organisations that specialise in problem-gambling support. NewLine encourages Users to contact one of the recognised services below — they offer support that goes well beyond what an operator can provide and includes counselling, peer support and treatment referrals.

OrganisationWhat They OfferWhere to Find Them
GamCare Free information, counselling and treatment for anyone affected by problem gambling, including a national helpline and live chat. Based in the UK and active internationally. gamcare.org.uk
Gambling Therapy Free, multilingual online support service offering practical advice and emotional support to people affected by problem gambling worldwide. gamblingtherapy.org
Gamblers Anonymous An international fellowship of men and women who share their experience with the aim of helping themselves and others recover from a gambling problem. Local meetings in many countries. gamblersanonymous.org

These services are independent of NewLine and free of charge. Anything you discuss with them is confidential. If you are not in immediate distress but want to start understanding your relationship with gambling, the websites above include self-assessment tools, written guides and forums you can use anonymously.

If you are in crisis, in addition to the gambling-specific resources above, contact your country's general mental-health helpline or visit a healthcare professional. A general practitioner is a good first point of contact in most healthcare systems and can refer you to specialist support.

7. User Conduct and Responsibility

Responsible gaming is a shared effort between the Operator and the User. NewLine commits to providing tools and support; Users commit to using the platform in a balanced way. To keep gambling enjoyable and within control, we encourage every User to:

  • Treat gambling as paid entertainment, not as a way to make money.
  • Set a budget you can comfortably afford to lose before each session, and stop when that budget is reached.
  • Set time limits as well as money limits — extended sessions can lead to fatigue and worse decisions.
  • Never gamble with money you need for essentials such as rent, bills, food or family obligations.
  • Never borrow money to gamble, and never gamble to recover losses.
  • Take regular breaks during a session and full days off between sessions.
  • Avoid gambling when stressed, upset, intoxicated or otherwise not in a clear state of mind.
  • Be honest with yourself and the people close to you about how much time and money you spend gambling.
  • Use the deposit-limit and self-exclusion tools described in Section 4 if you find your behaviour drifting outside the limits you set.

8. Monitoring and Intervention

The Operator monitors aggregate platform activity to identify patterns that may indicate potential harm. Where automated systems or staff observations suggest that a User may be at risk, the Operator may:

  • Send a check-in message asking how the User is feeling and reminding them of available tools.
  • Suggest activating deposit limits, taking a cooling-off period or reading this Responsible Gaming Policy.
  • Where appropriate, restrict bonus offers and marketing communications.
  • Where there is significant concern, request a conversation with the customer support team or temporarily restrict deposits pending that conversation.

Monitoring is conducted with respect for User privacy and in line with the Privacy Policy. Engagement from the Operator's responsible-gaming team is intended to be supportive, not punitive — a User who responds to a check-in is not penalised for any answer they give. The goal is to make it easier to step back if needed and to make sure the User is aware of the help available.

9. Jurisdiction-Specific Considerations

Local law in some jurisdictions sets specific responsible-gaming requirements — minimum age, mandatory limits, reality checks, self-exclusion registers maintained by the regulator, or restrictions on bonus offers to vulnerable users. Where local law applies to a User's jurisdiction, the Operator complies with that law in addition to this policy. If the requirements differ, the stricter standard prevails.

Users are responsible for being aware of the legal status of online gambling in their own jurisdiction. The Operator does not provide legal advice. Where necessary, please consult a qualified local lawyer or your country's gaming regulator.

This page is a plain-language presentation of the NewLine Responsible Gaming Policy. The authoritative version is the one available in-product and updated by the Operator. Gambling carries financial risk, and even with all the right tools in place, no policy can eliminate that risk entirely.
